The Advocates for Children Committee is a vital organization in the Temecula Valley, dedicated to supporting more than seven children’s agencies. This collaborative effort is focused on improving the lives of children in the community by addressing their diverse needs. By working closely with various local agencies, the committee fosters partnerships that enhance service delivery and resource-sharing. Whether it’s providing educational support, mental health services, or basic needs assistance, the Advocates for Children Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive. Their commitment to advocacy and collaboration exemplifies the community's dedication to nurturing the well-being and development of its youngest members.

SAFE Family Justice Center

SAFE Alternatives for Everyone (S.A.F.E) was a grassroots effort initiated in 1998 by the Temecula Valley Womans Club. The endeavor was led by Founders Carol Niles and Nancy Acevedo. The women developed a “S.A.F.E. committee” in an effort to respond to the growing needs of domestic violence victims in the community.

S.A.F.E. later evolved from a committee into a thriving nonprofit committed to providing services for children, youth, and families who have experienced or are at risk of abuse and violence in Southwest Riverside County.

B.A.C.A (Bikers Against Child Abuse)

Bikers Against Child Abuse, Inc. (B.A.C.A.) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children.  We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse. We do not condone the use of violence or physical force in any manner, however, if circumstances arise such that we are the only obstacle preventing a child from further abuse, we stand ready to be that obstacle.

Operation Smile

Angel Tree

Angel Tree Christmas™ equips churches and other organizations to restore and strengthen relationships between incarcerated parents and their children and families. Every Christmas, Angel Tree mobilizes local churches and organizations to minister to hundreds of thousands of children by delivering a gift, the Gospel message, and a personal message of love on behalf of their mom or dad behind bars. In addition, many of our partner churches meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of prisoners’ families by enfolding them in the day-to-day life of the church, helping children attend summer camp, and facilitating mentorship.

Pinwheels for Prevention

In 2008 Prevent Child Abuse America introduced the Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign. People respond positively to pinwheels, which represent childlike whimsy and lightheartedness and our vision for a world where all children grow up happy, healthy, and prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities.

Enacting policies that impact the work-life balance of your employees or a neighbor who offers a respite from the demands of parenting, we all have an effect on the lives of children. Children who are raised with safe, stable, and nurturing relationships and environments are more academically and financially successful and grow up to be productive, contributing members of their communities. Pinwheels are a reminder that we all play a role in children’s lives.

TVWC donated a sewing machine allowing students to make their own masks during covid!  Oak Grove Center is a nonprofit Residential, Education and Treatment Center (with multiple campuses) for at-risk and special needs youth.  Oak Grove’s mission is to rebuild the lives of at-risk children and their families through educating, healing, restoring relationships, building character and instilling hope.

Calicinto Ranch

We call our boys and girls of incarcerated parents Apple Seed Kids (ASK Kids). We know that if we are able to plant good, Godly seeds into these children; the effects can multiply. Anyone can count how many seeds are in an apple, but only God can count how many apples come from one seed. Our goal is to equip these hurting kids with the Love of Jesus Christ so those who come after them, in contact with them will produce a great harvest of good! Our close friend Chuck Colson was very instrumental and inspirational in us reaching children of prisoners. His excitement, support and love for reaching the hurting gave us a tremendous boost in what God was doing in and through Calicinto.
